The occupation list, and its traps
North Okanagan Shuswap publishes 25 priority occupations. Being on that list is necessary but not sufficient, and the detail below is where most self-prepared applications come apart.
The full list, with the codes and any wage requirements, is published by the community: see the official occupation list. We do not reproduce it here, because it changes mid-year and a stale copy is worse than no copy.

Processing
The community states plainly that it cannot give a standard processing time. Low-scoring candidates may sit in the pool for many months. Applications under Extended Review have no timeline at all. Unsuccessful applications remain pooled up to six months.
Worth knowing
No new documents are accepted after submission or after scoring, so a file must be complete and correct the first time or be withdrawn and resubmitted in a later window. The employer list carries an unusually blunt warning that it is not to be used by candidates or consultants to solicit job offers, and that doing so could have significant consequences.
