Claresholm publishes 26 priority occupations. Being on that list is necessary but not sufficient, and the detail below is where most self-prepared applications come apart.
The full list, with the codes and any wage requirements, is published by the community: see the official occupation list. We do not reproduce it here, because it changes mid-year and a stale copy is worse than no copy.
Caps and limits
- 2026 allocation: 30 recommendations
- Paced at roughly 3 per month, with unused allocations available later in the year
- Sales and Services capped at 6 allocations for the year
- No per-employer limit published
Who cannot use this programme
- Consulates
- Businesses that contract staff out to other businesses
- Businesses owned or controlled by the applicant or their spouse
- Businesses owned by an immigration representative
- Businesses under two years at the location under the same management
- Any occupation used outside its listed sector

No processing time is published. Recommendations are issued two business days after the monthly committee decision.
Worth knowing
Claresholm has the smallest allocation of any community in the pilot at 30 for the year, and the community states plainly that housing scarcity is why most employers use it to transition staff they already have. The catchment covers a 25km radius including Granum and Stavely.
